Ana Karla
Ana Karla has 10 years’ experience in forest and climate change policy, including policy advice and program/ project management and development and works as a senior expert consultant for CLP.

Ana Karla’s areas of expertise include climate change policy (including REDD+), climate finance; environmental and social safeguards, and multilateral environmental agreements.

As former team leader and lead negotiator for the Mexican Government on REDD+ and LULUCF in the UNFCCC, Ana Karla has a unique understanding of the international climate change framework and rules. She also has worked closely with stakeholders at all levels in the design and implementation of REDD+ in Mexico.

Ana Karla holds a MEM in Environmental Management from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente. Ana Karla is fluent in English and Spanish.
