Ugo Ribet is a Project Coordinator and policy advisor at CLP. He specialises in environmental policy providing analysis, strategic advice and training on forest governance issues, mainly related to the implementation of REDD+ safeguards and the design and implementation of Country Safeguard Approaches. Ugo supports and performs in-country work mainly in Central America and contributes to thematic research and the design of guidance and training tools.

Before joining CLP, Ugo worked at ClientEarth as part of the Climate and Forest Programme supporting their work in Latin America. Ugo also gained prior experience in research and capacity building while working on environmental and international security issues for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI).

Ugo holds an M.A. in International Studies and Diplomacy, specialised in Climate Change and Energy Policy from the London School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. He also has a B.A. in European Studies from University College of London (UCL). Ugo is fluent in English, Spanish and French, and is currently based in Paris.
