The objective of this assignment was to carry out a review of ongoing national REDD+ processes in terms of their approach towards the adoption and implementation of REDD+ Safeguards in Central America [Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic], including the safeguards related processes undertaken under multilateral REDD+ processes [such as FCPF and UN-REDD] and voluntary initiatives [such as REDD+SES].
