In 2025, CLP continued to support high-integrity, equitable and effective outcomes across global carbon markets and jurisdictional REDD+, working with governments, partners and stakeholders to strengthen safeguards systems and readiness for results-based finance.
Highlights from the year include:
UK Technical Assistance Programme support across Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mato Grosso, Mexico, Nepal, Pará and Viet Nam, strengthening audit-ready documentation, SIS/GRM systems, benefit-sharing design, and inclusive stakeholder engagement.
Guyana: safeguards and TREES reporting support, including an audit-ready evidence database to streamline verification.
Papua New Guinea: enabling conditions for ART-TREES alignment, including operationalising SIS/GRM/BSP and strengthening verification readiness.
Global guidance and tools: integrating GESI into Article 6 activities (with GGGI), a practical rights-focused forest carbon markets toolkit (with RECOFTC), and targeted recommendations to strengthen ART-TREES 3.0 social integrity provisions (with the Kawari Fund).
